Verse of the Day:
“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”
— Psalm 27:14 (NLT)
Waiting can feel like the worst part.
You pray, you hope, you knock—but nothing seems to move.
The job doesn’t come.
The relationship doesn’t happen.
The healing takes longer than expected.
And in that space between “God, please” and “God answered,” it’s easy to feel discouraged and forgotten.
But the waiting season isn’t a punishment—it’s an invitation.
An invitation to slow down, to let go of control, and to discover that what God is doing in you is just as important as what you’re waiting for.
Waiting Is Not Wasting
We live in a world obsessed with results. So when something doesn’t happen fast, we assume it’s failing—or worse, that we’re failing.
But in the Bible, some of the greatest stories were built in seasons of waiting:
Joseph waited in prison before stepping into leadership.
David waited years between being anointed king and actually becoming one.
Jesus waited in silence before stepping into His public ministry.
Waiting is holy ground. It’s where God stretches our faith and teaches us to trust Him—not just for outcomes, but for identity.
Stay Plugged In While You Wait
Just like we talked about in the introduction—you’re a lamp. And a lamp doesn’t stop shining just because it’s not in motion. It shines because it’s plugged in.
In your waiting, stay connected to your source.
Pray.
Read His Word.
Worship when you feel weak.
Talk to Him like He’s near—because He is.

What are you waiting on God for right now?
How can you shift your mindset from frustration to formation during this season?
A Prayer to Start Your Day
Lord, I don’t like waiting—but I trust that You are doing something in the silence. Help me to be patient and faithful, even when I don’t see results. Strengthen me in the in-between, and remind me that this season has purpose. I don’t want to miss what You’re building in me. I trust You with the outcome and the timing. Amen.
