There are moments when the Church breathes as one. You can feel it in the silence between prayers, in the chorus of voices singing the same hymn, and in the tears of strangers who suddenly feel like family. That’s what happened during this year’s Pentecost Vigil in St. Peter’s Square, where over 70,000 believers gathered in hope, and Pope Leo XIV spoke boldly about unity through the Holy Spirit.
He didn’t sugarcoat it. The Church is fractured. The world is more divided than ever. But the Holy Spirit? He’s not confused. He doesn’t divide. He draws us in.
“The Holy Spirit calls us to walk together in unity,” the Pope said. Not just Catholics. Not just Christians. All of us. Together.
