Living the Creed: A Reflection After 7 Days of Walking in Faith
The Words We Say on Sunday Are Meant to Shape Our Lives Every Day
Reflection: From Reciting to Living
Over the past seven days, we’ve taken time to slow down and really consider what we say every Sunday when we stand and proclaim the Nicene Creed.
We’ve reflected on God the Father, our Creator and loving Father.
We’ve surrendered more deeply to Jesus as Lord, not just teacher.
We’ve welcomed the truth that He came down for us—not from afar, but into our mess.
We’ve remembered the power of His death and resurrection—and dared to hope again.
We’ve looked ahead to His return, realigning our lives with eternity in mind.
We’ve invited the Holy Spirit to guide, empower, and comfort us.
And we’ve embraced the Church—not as a building, but as a family and mission we belong to.
These are not abstract beliefs. They are deep truths meant to anchor us in every season of life.
The Creed is not a box to check. It’s a call to live fully. To trust more deeply. To walk more closely with our God, side by side with others who are doing the same.
What’s Next: Keep Living It
Maybe this week brought clarity. Maybe it stirred up questions. Maybe it opened wounds that God is just beginning to heal. Wherever it led you, know this: God isn’t finished with you.
Let this be the start of something—not the end.
Keep going.
Keep reflecting.
Keep surrendering.
Keep trusting the Spirit.
Keep leaning on the Church.
Keep proclaiming your faith—not just with words, but with how you live.
Because when you live the Creed, your life becomes a witness. A testimony. A light.
And that’s something the world desperately needs.
Final Challenge: Share It. Live It. Pass It On.
Reread the Creed today—but this time, slowly. Thoughtfully. Prayerfully.
Choose one truth that stuck with you most from this week—and build a habit around it.
Share this walk with someone else. Invite a friend, your spouse, or your kids to reflect with you.
Let your life quietly (or boldly) proclaim:
“I believe.”
