Catholic teaching reminds us that life on Earth is a temporary journey, and our true home is in Heaven. Keeping this eternal perspective helps us prioritize what truly matters and align our lives with God’s will.
Explanation of the Habit To "begin with the end in mind" means to live with intentionality, focusing on Heaven as our ultimate destination. It involves setting spiritual goals and ensuring our daily choices align with our vocation to holiness. By keeping Heaven in mind, we can make decisions that reflect our faith and lead us closer to God.
I once attended a funeral for a dear friend who had lived an extraordinary life of faith. As I listened to stories of their kindness, generosity, and unwavering trust in God, I couldn’t help but reflect on my own life. Would others see Christ in me the way they had seen Him in my friend? That moment became a turning point, prompting me to reevaluate my priorities. I began asking myself daily, "Does this decision bring me closer to or further away from Heaven?" This question has since guided my actions, helping me live more intentionally and purposefully.
