Day 6 – The Giver of Life: Walking with the Holy Spirit
You’re Not Alone—The Spirit is With You, Empowering Every Step
Reflection: You’re Not Doing This Alone. The Spirit Empowers, Comforts, Convicts.
“I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life…”
This line in the Creed is one we often recite quickly, maybe even overlook—but it's life-changing.
The Holy Spirit isn’t an optional part of our faith. He’s not an extra credit blessing or a vague force. He is Lord, co-equal with the Father and the Son. And He is the giver of life—not just physical life, but spiritual vitality, strength, and direction.
The Holy Spirit empowers us to do what we could never do on our own. He brings peace in chaos, boldness in fear, and conviction when we stray. He comforts us in sorrow, reminds us who we are in Christ, and gives us the wisdom we desperately need in everyday life.
Maybe you’ve felt the Spirit’s prompting before—a quiet nudge to speak up, a word of encouragement that wasn’t from you, a sense of peace that made no earthly sense. Those aren’t accidents. That’s Him.
The beauty of the Holy Spirit is that He’s not just present at big, spiritual moments—He’s with you in the car, in the grocery store, in your parenting, your work, your silence. You’re not doing this life alone.
Application: Invite and Listen
Today, simply ask the Holy Spirit to guide you.
When you wake up, say:
“Holy Spirit, I welcome You into my day. Guide my thoughts, words, and decisions.”
And then—listen. Pay attention to the little moments, the nudges, the interruptions that might be invitations. Trust that He is with you and speaking, even when it’s subtle.
You don’t have to figure everything out. The Spirit is already at work.
Journal Prompt:
When have I felt the Spirit’s leading?
Am I open to hearing His voice today? How can I respond?
